There is no “before DES” for me. They were hired by the previous office manager and CEO, brought on board to help with a workload that was really too much for them to manage on their own. We’ve now grown to a five-person office team, and DES continues to bring tremendous value.

The workload on our own was just too much… I consider DES our human resources team, and they’re great at it!

Growth is exciting and good, but it definitely stretched us thin and opened our eyes to complexities we just hadn’t encountered before. Especially as our team grew (we currently have about 45 employees), we had more and more questions. Worker’s compensation issues and claims were definitely the toughest for us to navigate.

It’s a lot of weight off your shoulders…

It’s a lot of weight off your shoulders when you have someone you trust and count on that’s just a phone call away. I can say, “Hey, this is how I’m thinking I need to handle this. What do you think?” Or if it’s a really tricky situation, I’ve asked them to come out and help us deal with something too.
Lorri on the DES team has been an especially helpful resource, walking me through a few different incidents. Lorri, and everyone there, has their different areas of expertise, and watches out for us. Honestly, I’ve been approached by other PEOs, but we have such a proven relationship that I’ll definitely stick with DES.

By going with DES’ services, we were actually able to save money in a few ways.

We consolidated our payroll, even though we’re spread across a  couple of locations, and we also got better rates on our worker’s comp, while saving additional money by avoiding the need for attorneys to sort out our claims and questions. They’ve just got it all covered, and that makes it so much simpler.
In turn, we’ve also been able to better care for our employees which is a really big deal for us.

If I was talking to someone considering DES’ services…

I would ask them to take a long, hard look at DES and tell them how much of a support they’ve been to us, that the services are well worth the cost, and most of all that the people are fantastic.
