The journey, shared by Peggy, one of the owners of an industrial coating applications company. As a long-time employee (and later co-owner), she was wearing too many hats, and needed help with HR, workers’ compensation, and benefits for her team. When I first met the DES team, I was the controller for the company. We had 89 employees then, and I wore almost every hat you can imagine. Payroll, insurance, fielding questions… But it was definitely the workers’ comp that took most of my time, especially when I encountered a really complex or nuanced case.
If I’m being totally honest, DES’ services felt a little too good to be true at first. I mean, it was exactly what I needed. So we started slow, and I just incrementally handed more and more over to them.
